RenegadeInc Software (operating under the /dev/null Inc umbrella) is an independent software studio founded by TheStygianRenegade. We build developer utilities, generative AI managers, and local-first software tools for creators and engineers who value performance, freedom, and privacy.

In an era where desktop applications increasingly demand always-on cloud connections, force telemetry down users' throats, and monetize user habits, we take the opposite stance:
- Your Machine, Your Data: Our software never collects telemetry, track user events, or phones home to analytics servers. What runs on your hardware stays on your hardware.
- True Local-First Utility: Features shouldn't require a remote login. Storage is kept in robust local formats like SQLite, JSON, and standard filesystems.
- Transparent Security: Sensitive keys (such as CivitAI or HuggingFace tokens) are encrypted on your disk with AES-256-GCM and only talk directly over HTTPS to the APIs you configure.
- Permissive Open Source: We license our flagship projects under the GNU General Public License v3.0 (GPL-3.0), preserving your right to inspect, build, modify, and distribute the code.
